Toonami Jetstream Service Hosts Kiba Anime Online
posted on by Egan Loo
Cartoon Network's Toonami Jetstream online video service has added the Kiba anime series to its American lineup on Monday. The Japanese division of the card company Upper Deck and the Madhouse anime studio produced this 2006-2007 adventure anime series about two boys who become Shard Casters who can control Spirit creatures on another world. Kiba is Toonami Jetstream's first series from ADV Films in its two-year history; all previous anime series came from Cartoon Network's relationships with Viz Media and Sho-Pro (now Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions).
ADV Films announced its acquisition of this title at Anime Boston 2008 in March. Kiba is Toonami Jetstream's first new series since Eyeshield 21 debuted on December 17, and the only series besides Hikaru no Go to have new episodes now. (All other series in the current lineup are running previously shown episodes.)
