Rose of Versailles Film Remake's Date to be Announced

Earlier online report of release date retracted
Kaz Yamashita of Toei Animation Los Angeles has informed ANN that the company's current animated film remake of The Rose of Versailles manga has not been set for a particular date, despite an earlier report. The project will be the second animated film based on Riyoko Ikeda's classic manga about French aristocracy. Toei Animation previewed pilot footage of the film at the Tokyo International Anime Fair in January, but has yet to make an official announcement of its release date in Japan.
