Top 100 Animated TV series as Voted by Japanese Viewers
TV Asahi has aired a list of the 100 most popular animated TV series in six categories ( teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60+).
The show was presented by actress Nakai Miho and comedians Bakusho Mondai with guests including Ris Shibata, comedic duo Yoiko, Tooru Yamazaki, Shouji Shinagawa, Kazuki Enari, and Chisato Morishita.
The only non-Japanese animation to make the list was Tom & Jerry at position 58 (overall). The list was not limited to shows that aired on TV Asahi.
The top 5 series, Fullmetal Alchemist, Gundam, Dragon Ball, Mahou Sensei Negima and Doraemon received 4998, 3344, 1322, 1185 and 1184 votes respectively. Hana Yori Dango is 100th position received 53 votes.
