Yanmar Reveals Virtual Singer Group V.W.P as Opening Theme Song Artist for Original Anime 未ル(Miru)
Osaka, Japan (January 21, 2025) – Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. today announced that V.W.P, a virtual singer group with a massive following among young people, will perform the opening theme song for their original anime "未ル(Miru): Paths To My Future." The anime is produced by Yanmar and is scheduled to be broadcast on Japanese terrestrial TV in April 2025. The song is titled "愛詩 (AI=UTA)" and is a new piece written especially to accompany the anime's opening sequence.
Yanmar has appointed Masuo Ueda as the executive producer for the original anime, depicting the encounter between a weaponless robot named "MIRU" and humans. Under the principle of HANASAKA, which values belief in people's potential and encourages new challenges, Yanmar is collaborating with five innovative anime studios to produce a five-episode anthology. V.W.P was selected as performer of the opening theme song, a decision driven by the natural synergy between them and the anthology format of 未ル(Miru): Paths To My Future, which features five distinct stories.
The song's lyrics, composition, and arrangement are being handled by Elements Garden, a group of music composers led by Noriyasu Agematsu, who has produced numerous notable anime songs, including Nana Mizuki's "ETERNAL BLAZE" and "Shinai," Mamoru Miyano's "Orpheus" and "Shine," as well as songs for series such as Uta no☆Prince-sama♪, Senki Zesshō Symphogear, and BanG Dream! The producer is Akihiro Tomita, known for his work on various anime theme songs, game music, commercial music, and artist production.
V.W.P's dynamic song will set the tone for the drama as MIRU, the robot featured in the anime, travels through time to support people from various eras.
A promotional video featuring comments from KAF of V.W.P and a portion of the theme song will be released shortly.

Comment from Noriyasu Agematsu
“As both a musician and an anime creator, I was deeply moved by Yanmar's commitment to
sharing ‘hope for the future’ through animation and bringing it to a global audience. The story of
how a company specializing in construction and agricultural machinery ventured into producing
robot anime is so innovative and full of a spirit of challenge, that I felt inspired to accept the offer,
thinking, 'If there is anything I can contribute, I want to help.'
In my work, I have sought to encapsulate my perspective in a single song that expresses the
world of ‘未ル(Miru): Paths To My Future’ through music, while also considering what kind of
sound would resonate with the younger generation who love V.W.P. Lyricist Hibiki meticulously chose words that portray the struggles and conflicts faced by today's youth, presenting them in a
meaningful and universal context, without trivializing their experiences. I sincerely hope that this
anime will become a source of comfort and inspiration for people around the world.”
Comment from Akihiro Tomita
“'未ル(Miru): Paths To My Future'feels like a ‘mythology for a new era’ offering both imaginative
and realistic challenges for today's younger generation as they navigate the present and shape the
future. While it was certainly a pleasure to be in charge of the theme song for such an outstanding
anime work, I feel honored to have worked on its production alongside Noriyasu Agematsu and
Yūsuke Takeda from Elements Garden, and to collaborate with the wonderful members of V.W.P. I
hope everyone will enjoy the series along with the theme song 'AI=UTA.'”
