posted on by Egan Loo
Namco Bandai Games opened the official website for Gintama No Sugoroku, the first new Gintama PSP game project in five years, on Monday, and the site is now streaming a promotional video:
In the video, the main characters from the Gintama series banter about a new Gintama game, eventually revealing its title. The video then states that further details about the game will be given in a followup video to be posted next week.
This year's 39th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed the new PSP game project from Namco Bandai Games on Monday. Although the new game's title (銀魂無双六) has the same Musou (無双) kanji as KOEI's Dynasty Warriors action game franchise, it is pronounced as Gintama No Sugoroku. (Sugoroku (双六) is a name for a few kinds of Japanese board games.)
In addition to next week's followup video, Weekly Shonen Jump will also publish more information about the game next Monday. Hideaki Sorachi's original manga is also inspiring a second film next year, as well as a new television run with new episodes (combined with selected episode reruns), starting on October 4.
