Ghibli, Hideaki Anno Collaborate on Exhibit at TAF, Museum

Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF) 2012's official exhibitor page for Studio Ghibli revealed the studio's plans for an exhibition currated by Evangelion director Hideaki Anno this week. The page's "Contents of Exhibition" section notes that "Director Hideaki Anno's Japanese Special Effects Museum" will be included, and will cover the craftsmanship of the Showa (1926-1989) and Heisei (1989-current) eras through the miniature models used for special effects.
The full exhibit will be displayed in Summer 2012 at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo. It is not known how much of the exhibit will be previewed at Studio Ghibli's booth. Other exhibits at the booth will include the unveiling of the DVD and Blu-ray of Goro Miyazaki's feature film From Up On Poppy Hill, art by Mary Blair and Frederic Back, the French animated feature Tales of the Night (which is part of the Ghibli Museum release line in Japan), as well as "memorable photos" and books for purchase.
This year's TAF will run from March 22-25 at Tokyo Big Sight in Odaiba, and will feature over 150 exhibitors.
