The game publisher Konami began streaming a new 188-second promotional movie for Gensō Suikoden: Tsumugareshi Hyaku-nen no Toki, the latest in the Gensō Suikoden role-playing game franchise. The video features traditional animation and a song by Chiaki Ishikawa.
The story follows a group of young heroes who stand against the "100th-Year Monster" — a creature that appears every century to devour everything in its path. One day, the protagonist is taken 100 years into the past by the mysterious boy Zefon (voiced by Yūki Kaji) to take on the monster. However, the protagonist returns to the present day after the quest to discover a devastated world. The protagonist must return to the past to restore order.
The voice cast includes Hiroshi Kamiya as the "Protagonist," Marina Inoue (Myura), Jun Fukuyama (Jiino), Katsuyuki Konishi (Dyūkasu).
The game will ship for the PSP handheld console in Japan on February 9 in several editions.
