So does this mean we may get a second season?

The manga is good and I would like to see more of the anime.

I don't know, its possible it is. The anime went in such a different direction than the Manga, it was practically a closed story by the time they ended it.

Manga still goin, but very slowly. They've not even gotten to Hawaii yet. Its little frustrating. If a new Anime is made, they'll either have restart the story, do a prequel or try branch off from where anime ended.

They didn't deal with Yamato flagship, they didn't deal with Europeon fleet with Captain's father out there.

Well Consider the huge sale numbers the blu rays got i wouldnt be suprised if they were planning a second season.

Ever since those sales number there have been increasing marketing campaigns for Arpeggio, i don't think even they suspected this series to provide so much revenue which is why they probably the anime series ended as it is cause they didn't expect it to sell so much.

Now considering how much revenue they are gaining from its populerity they should do another anime series especially if it is re-adapted to follow the main storyline.

The very fact that they are now planning a voice cast competion combined with the increase in populerity and sale boosts. it seems more and more likely to happen.

+ this summer Kancolle will also be airing and the online card game is already hugely popular and high in demand so the demand for more ship girls would be even higher u do the math and tell me if it is possible or not ?

They did write themselves into a corner and warped up most of the anime in the last episode. They could have the Blue fleet merge with the Japanese Fleet of Fog and go take on the European fleet. They could even introduce the father at that time.

Would take a bit of script hacking, but I've seen anime jumble up a manga before!

I dont know about that there better off starting again from scratch.

besides judging by the latest chapters looks like the blue fleet will have quite the fleet indeed.

WE got I-401, Hyuuga which they are salvaging to restore, Hakugei III, Takao which she can also rebuilt her ship, And Possible Candidates HMS Repulse and HMS Vampire allying with Hakugei III for Saving them.

So for now we got: 2 Submarines, 2 Heavy Cruisers, 1 Fast Aircraft carrier Battle Ship and 1 Destroyer, i say that is already a significant fleet force to challenge the Japanese and European fleet, Dont forget they have to get to america so most likely the American fleet will be introduced soon too.
