Lawson Adds Arpeggio of Blue Steel Campaign
posted on by Eric Stimson
LAWSON, a Japanese convenience store chain, is currently holding an Arpeggio of Blue Steel-themed campaign. Fans of the naval anime can win prizes like a signed poster, a T-shirt, and admission to a voice actor event.
To apply, participants must first buy selected products from SUNTORY, a major Japanese beverage distributor. Their receipts will have an application number, which can be redeemed at Lawson's website for a point. Once they've accumulated a certain number of points, they can apply for the prizes. Alternatively, they can choose the "stamp rally" route: accrue a certain number of stamps by buying the same SUNTORY products. They differ from points because they are only granted once per day.
The grand prize for the "points course" is admission to "Arpeggio of Blue Steel Return of 'BLUE STEEL' Memorial Ceremony,' a performance and discussion by Arpeggio of Blue Steel voice actresses at the Maihama Amphitheater in Urayasu, a suburb of Tokyo. Blu-Rays and DVDs will also be sold. It is scheduled for June 29. The limit is 200 attendees. 20 points are needed.
The secondary prize is a double-sided poster featuring Arpeggio's Mental Models (personified battleships) and signed by their voice actresses. It is limited to ten winners. 15 points are needed. A single-sided version without signatures is also the prize for downloading LAWSON's app and for retweeting selected tweets on LAWSON's official Twitter feed.
Also available is a T-shirt and beach cushion. They are limited to 500 winners. Ten points are needed.
Five points can win fans this teddy bear from the show, Yotarou, in LAWSON's distinctive uniform. It makes noises if you squeeze it. It is limited to 1,000 winners.
Buying one SUNTORY product can still get you one of these clear files of Takao, Iona and Haruna (you can choose which one to receive). They are limited to 1,000 winners each.
As for the stamp rally, accumulating ten stamps might get you one of these life-sized character panels (again, you can choose which one you'd like). They are limited to five winners each.
Five stamps are good for these three badges. They are limited to 1,000 winners.
The Arpeggio of Blue Steel campaign lasts until May 5. Applicants who don't win any of these prizes can still receive a free bottle of SUNTORY green tea.
