Sounds like the voices are top-notch. Let's hope everything else will be decent for another idol series.

That's a significant boast to make. This project seems like it's trying to be 'Wake Up, Girls!'

When I lived in Yokohama in the early 1970's, all Sagamihara had really going for it was the huge, US Army Depot there.
Glad to see they've moved beyond that, again.

These are becoming pretty much infomercials now; they're trying to sell the area. Other areas are doing it, so now they're doing it too.

I'd visit the Sagamihara area even without the promotionals
Still, it's neat with all the anime tourism promotions going on these days.

Well…all right. I guess. I'm all for shows promoting a region, but another one using idols (and another idol show, period)? I have liked Love Live! and Wake Up, Girls!, but I hope that the overall concept of burgeoning idols / helping a cause doesn't get beat into the ground (yes, I know…). Tsubu Doll sounds like a cross between those two and still sounds kind of interesting, but let's not ruin a good thing, here…

It's not even so much the concept, but the framing. For example, in Love Live! Because it was Sunrise, the characters are treated in a very western manner; they have passion and vigor. They have to work hard, they try to stay cheerful; they get into fights, etc. They have a much broader emotional range than one normally sees from a female character. And more than that, the story actually respects their passion and work ethic.
