Just like how Tesamu Ozuka is The God of Manga, Akira Toriyama is one of his Angels, The Angel of Shonen Manga.

Sarcasm aside, France, and Europe in general, have been into anime longer than America and it's more represented in their media culture, so it's actually not really surprising if anime gets recognized there.

And Eiichiro Oda, together with Yoshihiro Togashi, are on their way to become the Archangels of the Shounen Manga. Cool
