When discussing Moyashimon season 2, Kawamura revealed that the site will also stream the first season...

That's nice, I have some interest in the series so I might check that out. Did he ever say when they will start streaming season 1?

Some people have been begging for a physical release, at least now they can get a digital one.

Additionally, Crunchyroll would like to offer material on the Xbox 360 sometime in the future.

Good to hear.

Moyashiman season 1 is good news, but the whole Roku HD "hopefully within a year" is quite depressing. I pretty much bought a roku for CR, but maybe we'll get lucky though and Funi will have their roku service up when they said and it will actually work (unlike their website.) I've tried to avoid hooking my pc up to my new display (because it's plasma and was reasonably expensive) but I just might have to give in and hook it up with CR's latest Roku news.

Meh, no news about when it'll come to PS3? I remember they said the Summer, and I expected Otakon would be when we would get a date.

^ That's what I was hoping for, too. I have a couple friends with PS3s who are anxiously awaiting for this.

My heart sank at that "hopefully within a year" phrase, since timetables for implementation typically tend to end up toward the end of the stated time frame, and "hopefully" means "maybe not".

Regarding Funimation, after discovering Firefox actually worked for their videos without anything but LastPass installed (when I was setting up Windows 8 to test on a computer), and still having problems with slow starts on IE, I finally decided to try their recommendation of Chrome. While it does little to fix the problems with their website's slow response, the video does seem to work better, and with it I actually stay logged into the site instead of having to log in each time.

With that said, I am certainly looking forward to their Roku app, especially as they have promised HD support.

Is this a legit website? I'd love to have it on Tuesday, didn't think it would come that fast.

Kawamura accepted one fan's suggestion that they develop a queue feature

Eh? They have a queue feature. With the recent updates is works rather well (when it doesn't reset to episode 1 because the next episode placeholder isn't up)

I like their daily deals. I don't buy much at all but there are some hard to find or out of print, or going out of print, anime

I don't have Roku since I view everything on PC, but I've always thought the best and most flexible way to view online content on TV was a very small mini-ITX HTPC. If you don't need any special apps, then Linux with the flash plugin would do just fine.

And I've got to say that recently maybe in the last year or so, with a few exceptions, CR's video quality is superb. The 1080p looks fantastic (Another, Fate/Zero, Sengoku Collection, Tsuritama, etc.) in many cases, as good as or better than the Japanese broadcast transport stream. And their softsub feature is coming into more utilization with Spanish subs offered more and more (with more Spanish premium members)

I found this article about Crunchyroll on PS3...

http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/07/27/watch-all-the-anime-you-want-with-crunchyroll-on-ps3

"Crunchyroll on PS3 currently only supports up to 480p, which Gao explained to me was a fairly standard resolution for anime, as it’s more expensive to produce shows in higher quality. So even at 480p, most anime will be viewable on PS3 in its native resolution, though that will still fluctuate depending on the shows you’re interested in."

So yeah, Crunchy on PS3 will be pointless. And lol at that rep trying to make it sound like 480p is actually standard.
