Tsutsumi: She and I went to grade school together. Of course, I knew that she was director Hayao Miyazaki's niece back then, but we fell out of touch for 18 years when I was 15 years old.

Behold, the power of the Osana Najimi! Very Happy

Congrats to them both. May their union actually last, unlike the average celebrity marriage.

Aww such a sweet story. It's one that I would expect to find in a story. It shows that childhood romances are real. Smile

either that, or since she is the niece of hayao miyazaki, she could have just been waiting for someone with money to show intrest in here, and he just happened to be a childhood friend, who is now successful.

if the man was poor, I bet they would not be married right now.......

not that I am calling here shallow, but a lot of women will not date someone unless they are financially set.

Awwww... this was such a sweet story. Smile

And did I read this right that the interviewer was the voice of the father in My Neighbor Totoro? If so, that's an interesting twist to add to this story. Smile

That would make it the ANTI-"5 Centimeters Per Second", if you know what I mean. ^-^

This makes me wish I can meet my childhood sweetheart again... T^T

I'm glad that the "Toy Story 3" art director got married. I hope it's a long and happy marriage.

Wow its interesting to see that a Genius from Pixar is married to the niece of the worlds greatest animator. I guess that explains why Totoro was in Toy Story 3.

Can we try to keep the misogynist bullcrap to a minimum on this site? I read enough of this kind of crap on sankakucomplex, thanks.
