The horror. . . . The horror. . . .
I still get chills thinking about that show. One of the only anime series to ever leave me feeling emotionally traumatized.

Time to rewatch and see if I'm still as iconoclastic about it as before.

This series influenced Anime sub-culture on an "Iconic" level.
Crunchyroll's *new *direction, this year, is coming close to leaving me speechless with awe and glee.
Two words for what Crunchyroll is doing to the "old vanguard" system of online Anime/fansub distribution......
"Nice Boat"
*Hopefully, this will lead to more companies, like Marvelous Entertainment, finally circumventing the negative impact of online anime piracy/fansub distribution and, instead, tap into long overdue revenue streams from the growing online Anime sub-culture.

Digital Distribution is the tool of the devil! My collection gets twenty DVDs to the paycheck, and that's the way I likes it!
That aside, someone should license and release School Days. Such a cheerful show.

CR tends to release the uncut Japanese DVD versions of the anime that they license, whenever available.

You people are missing an important point:
"The decision encompasses the titles for which Marvelous Entertainment holds the master rights."
This is not just school days. This is EVERY series that marvelous owns the full rights for. They're just starting with school days. Basically, crunchy just licensed every single things that marvelous owns. That doesn't guarantee that everything will be streamed, but it's pretty close.
From ANN's list, taking out things that are already licensed (I might have missed one), this could include:
Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka (TV) : Production
Bokura ga Ita (TV) : Production
Capeta (TV) : Production
Ginyuu Mokushiroku Meine Liebe wieder (TV) : Production
Happiness! (TV) : Production
Kenko Zenrakei Suieibu Umisho (TV) : Production
Koihime†Musō (TV) : Production
Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku wo - Youkoso Tsugumi Ryouhe (TV) : Production
Myself ; Yourself (TV) : Production
Prism Ark (TV) : Production
School Days (TV) : Production
School Days: Magical Heart Kokoro-chan (OAV) : Distributor
Shin Koihime†Musō: Otome Ryōran Sangokushi Engi (TV) : Production
Shura no Toki: Age of Chaos (TV) : Production
Sugar Sugar Rune (TV) : Production
Tantei Gakuen Q (TV) : Production
Whistle! (TV) : Production

Also the "nice boat" was something the TV station found. It wasn't licensor provided.

Um... I don't think the SPECIFIC video of a boat is important.... I'm sure CR could find a lovely public domain boat video if they wanted to replicate that fateful broadcast with full effect.

Coolness! Now if we can get a release on DVD I'll be even more happier.
There are only 2 titles I'm waiting for to hit DVD and that's 'School Days' so I can get pissed off all over again with enjoyment and 'Denno Coil'. Now will someone please release these titles already?!?
