definitely a shock that this sort of decent at best, mediocre isekai series at worst ACTUALLY got a season 2!
if am i actually the strongest gets a S2 as well, then LOOK OUT! while i would be interested in that concept, the people from the MAL community would go berserk with rage that an anime that their community labeled the worst of the season gets a S2 while their favorite series GATE is still in "read the books, kids!" purgatory hell! ![]() |

It isn't a shock at this point, however, since it was announced it was getting a second season back in June of last year (immediately after the conclusion of the first): animenewsnetwork.com/news/2024-06-17/i-was-reincarnated-as-the-7th-prince-anime-gets-2nd-season/.212025 Streaming revenue has increased to the point where there is little risk for many titles to venture out with a second series. Unless a title completely bombs, not getting a second season these days typically means other factors are to blame (i.e., lack of source material, problems getting key staff back, author reluctant, etc.). |

valid point. for its more likely that those examples above might be the primary reason why the anime version of iruma kun have not adaptated the music festival arc aka season 4! but as we all know all too well that the main factor of an anime adaptafion getting a new season is whether or not the source material sells well or have a large fanbase. its why certain isekai series that are developed by kakokawa like arifrueita, eminence in shadow, RE Zero, shield hero, tensura & mushoku tenei all have multiple seasons under their belt. its cause of the examples i mentioned. they all have high sales among their source materials and have a large fanbase. especially in the case for shadowgarden who even got their own official mobile games alongside the uber popular solo leveling and danmachi the only exceptions unfortunately are anime adaptations from the yuri genre which for some reason NEVER get a second season no matter how well their source materials sells. otherwise , highly popular yuri manga/LNs like watayuri, wataoshi (im in love with the villainess), whisper me a love song, tenten kakumei (the magical revolution of the reincarnated princess) or even the excutioner & her way of life woukd have already gotten their sequel seasons for their mangas and light novel sales were very sufficient enough to probably get a S2, but because their yuri, they always get the auto "read the books if you want to more" type of ending! point being that while 7th prince getting a second season is welcomed, its also a surprise it got one considering that the sales for its source materials were not sufficient to probably warrant its anime production committee to risk the financies to green light a second season! |
