Angelic layer was for boys - the manga ran in Shounen Ace.
Oh, I see what you mean (video playing in the other window and just seen how big that girl actually is) There are clear signs of Fumikane here. |

Shimada Fumikane has done some character design for the Busou Shinki characters. The one's he did are listed here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Busou_Shinki There's some nice Busou Shinki art in his "Shimada Humikane Art Collection" trading card series, but not his artbook. |

It's not in the Encyclopedia, which is annoying.
The first episode was surprisingly good, although the fact it was only five minutes long may have something to do with that. The battle was nicely animated and quite energetic, and I thought the boy was sympathetic enough. Didn't seem to be a typical Anime brat. Anyone get a faint Chobits vibe like I did? |
