But seriously, I’m happy for fans. I always hate it when most of a franchise is streaming only for the final entry to be missing.

Ok, but where is Fafner Exodus? You know the sequel to original Fafner and the season that Beyond is basically a sequel to? I don't believe its streaming anymore on Crunchy. Kind of difficult for a viewer to go from the first season to the last with nothing in between. Also difficult that Exodus never got a Blu-ray here in NA. Whatever, I'll probably give Beyond a watch just to see how everything turned out for characters after a decade of waiting.

That's the issue with Crunchyroll, they make the weirdest licensing decisions. They'll have the 2nd season of a series, but it's first season is missing. They'll adapt the first season, skip out on the season in the middle, and go for the final season. Sometimes if they license a franchise, they'll license some installments for multiple countries at times, and then others license them for mostly the US, or the odd time for select European countries.

Crunchyroll doesn't really control what they get. They basically get given the chance to bid for a show or can negotiate terms. If someone pays more or offers a better deal the license goes elsewhere, like One Punch man, or Tagaki-san being on multiple platforms, or Bleach being removed from CR because VIZ & TVTokyo got a better deal from Disney.
