Just a little FYI: IDW's Godzilla comic series do get Japanese translation and releases in Japan. A company called Phase Six is responsible for all the translation/releases of IDW's Godzilla comic/graphic novels in Japan. I believe back in 2022, Phase Six got to translated & released the 1995-1996 Dark Horse comic in Japan for the first time. I don't have the sales number in Japan, but after seeing IDW's Sonic the Hedgehog comic did so well in Japan to the point where they had to re-print vol.1 in Japan due to high demand (and let me remind you that Sonic doesn't have a big fanbase in Japan compared to the US/North America), it makes me wonder how many other American comic book/graphic novels based on Japanese IPs could do well in Japan if it got translated and released over there. So maybe there is a market for American comic book/graphic novels in Japan if it's based on a Japanese IP (again, that's my impression of it after seeing IDW's Sonic the Hedgehog and IDW's Godzilla comic got translated and released in Japan).

This seems to be IDW's attempt at creating an equivalent to the Energon Universe, a licensed property hosting a shared universe that gets interest in the books for the property. Granted, IDW has been treating Godzilla fairly decently, Godzilla Monsterpiece Theater was amazing, but it feels like a lot of companies are chasing the success of the EU, even if I think the ultimate goal of Kirkman's is to get that animated.

Glad to see IDW capitalizing on Godzilla though I wonder how much Godzilla is actually in the main comic with that synopsis.
