Animation issues aside, I liked pacing was pretty good and for once our protagonist took advantages of his superiors to fnally shine in the field.

I'm starting think Isagi carries the series due to how unique are his skills and his emotions can go from despair to furious in order to become beat Blue Lock. It's like that time other mangakas tried writing spinoffs of Attack on Titan but their protagonists didn't have the same elements that made Eren engaging to follow at least before the final season.

Judging from what I've seen of the author's other works, the yaoi baiting in this show is pretty much a given.

It's common for sports series to produce these type of bait. However, there was an episode from season 1 where it downright feels like Golden Kamuy

I wonder how many episodes will this football match take. I mean season 1 already had a really slow pacing as it focused on everybody's thoughts and they were even less players

Took me a while to remember these episodes are bringing back the monologues from season 1 for the worse or the best as it feels they might take too much time for the episodes despite their speed.

Shido's visualization of the goal as fertilization is exactly the kind of crazyness that made me love this series in the first place, that whole sequence was so good. If the animation were decent, this would easily be my second favourite show this season.

Yeah. The protagonist finally interacted with whoever could be the closest thing to a mentor and interaction was probably one of the Best ones in the entire series so far

Grammar mistake in the front page blurb. It should be 'your edgy' is showing, not you're edgy.

Umm... did the reviewer forgot that Rin DID scored a goal in an earlier episode? I mean it wasn't really a very flashy goal so it probably wasn't very memorable but to forget the fact completely is kinda crazy.

You're teenage angst?
I think it needs a bit of proofreading

I guess in the end Isagi works better as a 10 or a 8 when it comes to positions rather than striker

Premise of the review is a bit off: Rin has scored a goal (number 2)
