First time I've ever seen a picture of, or comments from, Midori Kato.

I've wondered whether they would retire the show at last when she was gone (yeah, yeah, still topping the live anime viewership most weeks, but that doesn't mean as much as it used to), or just recast her like everyone else and finish Ship-of-Theseusing the cast like the Lupin franchise did three years ago. Judging from the "even your grandchildren" bit, I think it's safe to conclude the latter, but whoever replaces her is gonna have pretty big shoes to fill.

Question for anyone who's actually been in a position to watch the show -- I know there's been times when early episodes were rerun. Has Kato's performance noticeably changed over all these decades?

as someone who occasionally checks out what limited subs that are out you can vaguely tell as they have a slight crackle to the voice however the editing is so well done that unless you listen VERY carefully you won't notice it

Doesn't Crunchyroll have it, or am I thinking of another show
