Always feels weird to me when Lupin is grounded to a specific time period. Even the original stories, barring one or two exceptions (like that time Lupin pulled a colonialism) are pretty timeless, and Lupin the Third doubly so.

Anyway, I found Zero really fun, though I know some fans bounced off it pretty hard. Love the retro style they went with... reminded me of when they did the same for some of the one-off episodes in Part IV.

I'd love to see a continuation.

I really enjoyed this, especially after the rather underwhelming Part 6, it's got such a great setting and origin for Lupin. Both the art and animation are very impressive, probably some of the series best outside of the Films.

When Lupins grandfather was introduced in bed with a load of women, it reminded me of that scene in Winter Kills, where we are introduced to the main characters grandfather, also surrounded by beautiful woman.

It's a good anime to review during Pride Month, because Lupin and Jigen's interactions can be described as somewhat romantic the more time passes. spoiler[Especially when Lupin "steals" Jigen's heart as his first official theft as Lupin III.] Adorable.

It's too bad TMS and Sentai aren't dubbing this. But I guess that just means you're forced to enjoy Toshio Furukawa as Lupin II. He's so awesome.

Definitely. Though I think that's been present as subtext at least since Part II.

And also spoiler[Arsene Lupin bedding women and men.]

I always thought it'd be cool if they had Tony Oliver voice Lupin II and maybe Sonny Strait as Arsene Lupin. Or maybe switch it around.
