Recently,an article on ANN surprised me. In the article, the actress Jamie Lee Curtis seems to have taken a liking to the "One Piece" manga. Apparently, she'd been introduced to it by her daughter, who's a fan. Now,she's thinking of playing one of the characters,Kureha in the live action version of this show. While I hope the show lasts long enough to get to that arc,I have an idea for the people behind the English version of the anime in case it doesn't. Why not have her voice one of the characters on the show?
This would be great for a variety of reasons. One of them would be it would introduce a new generation to this woman. She got her start in the seventies, playing in a number of horror films, the most famous of these was "Halloween." Heck,it wouldn't even have to be a major character. A minor character would be more than enough. Especially,if it was one that had her scream her lungs out,as kind of a nod to her scream queen origins.
Also,it would help bring attention to the show. Having such a famous actress voicing even a minor character would bring a lot of attention to this anime. I don't know if her daughter watches this show, but it would be a great introduction to what her mother does and since she knows some people who work on the English dub,it could work out great. So,what do the rest of you think? Should Jamie Lee Curtis play a character in the English version of the "One Piece" anime? I'd like to know that and it would be interesting to hear.
