And she got her Twitter-account restricted for "Suspicious Activity" (aka "too many people following at once") within an hour, as is tradition.
She will have a grand future!

I wondered what caused that.
I'm curious to see what the overall plan is here. VSinger would imply a focus on the musical side of things, and maybe not so much the game streaming. Then again, I think they tried something like that with earlier Japanese members and it sort of shifted more towards game streaming. Being a member of a new branch would suggest there will be others coming, too.
I'm kind of excited about this since I started watching hololive about a month after EN debuted and I didn't get into the ID branch until 2nd Gen had been around for a bit, so I haven't gotten a first-hand experience with a new member from the very start.

I figured when Kiara mentioned that they wouldn’t be doing generations in EN that they would probably be doing solo debuts, similar when the original branch was starting up. Been watching EN from the beginning, and I’m interested to see what IRyS does and what being a VSinger will mean.
I figured the new member(s) of EN would surpass Nijisanji’s EN branch, but getting almost double the subscribers that most of NijiEN members have gained after almost two months before she even debuted is faster than I expected.

I seem to recall Calli mentioning something similar about how they weren't Hololive-EN Gen 1, but specifically holo MYTH. At the time, I chalked it up to more of a branding thing, and it didn't really matter since there was just the one EN group anyway, but maybe they have some different plans in mind. That wouldn't be a bad idea since there are so many members that it could get to a point where they kind of get lost among each other if they aren't doing something a bit unique.

Yeah, Hololive has been much more restrained in terms of bringing in new members than Nijisanji, probably the benefit of their members. Yagoo had mentioned in his interview with Coco that while they don’t have a hard cap on the number of members they want to have at any one time, they do want to make sure bringing in more members won’t hurt their current members, and that probably a factor in why Hololive has managed to have 20 of their members pass the 1 million subscriber milestone while none of Nijisanji’s have managed it.

Most seem to assume IRyS will be EN's version of AZKi who, like you mentioned, is focused much more on the singing side of things (a look through AZKi's channel will show what I mean)
