That's great. This show definitely deserves the spot on the top 10 and I hope for another season this year

Only two shows on the list (plus the marathon) were not seen by yours truly.
People seem to think that if a show is on the top most liked shows, then they would not appear in a list of the top most hated, which is not true. |

Sometimes I feel like the only person around here who finds Nozaki's comedy to just be okay. Skewering or scathing of shoujo elements? Kind of? Would have been more raw if it came out in 2003.

It's like this, while there are people who doesn't like the show, there are people who love it. Take SAO and AOT as an example, I personally not in love with those shows and I know there are people who share the same thoughts as I am. But there are even more people who love those shows and made them overrated as hell. But to me at least, Mahouka is still more entertaining than those 2 shows above despite the lack of explanations of the magic which I can kinda understand because of the number of the episodes that they planned to do and to adapt a certain number of LNs. Just look at TK, the anime was shit-tier to me at least compared to the manga and it's still in top 20 so...... |

Other than Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun (which I haven't seen yet) that is a damn good top 5, very similar to my own minus one change.

yeah, SAO was the most hated and loved show couple years' back. lol In reality, you want to make a show that either people hate it or love it. You don't want to be an average show that does neither. As long as people watch it, who care if they like or not like. You need make a show that force people to comeback. IF you can be both most hated and most like show, that's even better. It was a good show but suprising to see at the top of some lists. I would certainly award it dark horse of the year though.

Honestly, every bit of flak I've seen thrown at Mahouka comes from Western sources. The Japanese media I've seen seems to indicate it is extremely well recieved. There's tons of fan art generated for it and it nearly always appears within the top ten slots of character or series popularity polls. It's no Attack on Titan or Love Live, but it's solidly successful.

Glad to see Nozaki-kun getting more love, wish it would translate to more merchandise. I think nendoroids for this series would be adorable.
