I thought the final episode of season 2 aired next week on the 4th?

Yeah the finale airs next week but it looks like the majority of the episode will be a recap.

Aaah, I think season 1 did that too. Guess I can start watching it then.

I loved the the first season I was looking forward to the second. While I enjoyed all the golf antics I wish a bit more time had been spent on Tonbo's other experiences in Kumamoto, like for instance the fact that she is has entered high school. After spending her time as the only student during middle school one would think that entering a school in a big city is quite the change of pace. Does she have any friends there? What do her classmates think of her running off every day to go to the golf course? Alas, we never get to see any of that.

I hope there will be another season and if so, that it will include some more of Tonbo's Kumamoto life. She's a darn likeable character, that's for sure.

Checked the English dub out of curiosity, and have to wonder who are these people and who selected them? While a couple of them appear to be legitimate voice actors, the rest sound like bored high school students reciting lines in class.

Maybe I'm an outlier but I enjoyed Tonbo for what it is, not what reviewers think it should have been. Tonbo is a very likeable character and I couldn't help but cheer her on in her endeavor. Granted that the english dub sounded a little strange at first but I quickly got used to it, I think that it added some charm to the show. I'd rate it 7 1/2 out of 10 possible points.

Another good season on Tonbo.
She went from a kid to almost an adult and won a big tournament against incredible competitors.
Her growth was impressive.
