Square Enix Announces #SQkawaii Sounds - Final Fantasy - Fan Art Campaign
Tokyo, Japan — Square Enix announced that starting today, March 12, it will hold a fan art contest to celebrate the release of #SQkawaii Sounds - Final Fantasy -. The beloved Japanese video game company wants fans to share their “kawaii” takes on their favorite characters from the Final Fantasy franchise, reflecting the compilation album's reimagining of music from the series as cuddly and club-ready songs.
From today until 19:00 Japan Standard Time on March 26, fans of the Final Fantasy series can submit their kawaii art of characters appearing on the cover art of the album to the recently relaunched Square Enix Music Discord where a special channel has been created for the event.
The limited-time event will see those that submit their art being promoted with full accreditation on official Square Enix SNS platforms, giving aspiring and developed artists the chance to reach out to an all-new audience while sharing their love of the female cast behind the Final Fantasy series.

Featuring reworks of 20 Final Fantasy favorites originally composed by Japanese musical legends such as Nobuo Uematsu, #SQkawaii Sounds - Final Fantasy - celebrates bubbly dancefloor tunes by turning the dramatic swells of the original into high-energy cuts courtesy of producers such as Takafumi Imamura and picco, among others. The resulting remixes bring out new depth to the tracks, while reminding of how creatively inspirational Final Fantasy's music remains. The album is available now in stores and for purchase online.
