It's amazing when some one manages to keep such a big thing a secret in this internet age we live in. Congrats to her.

That's an awful long time to keep a secret like that.

I known her from Kamichu, one of my first anime (rush of nostagic memories). Congrats to her and hope she will get more roles, I really like her role in Arpeggio! She'll be a great mom .

Congrats, and I understand why she has to keep it a secret.

Yeah the Otaku would've hated her for life if they found out she was married and for a while at that. When will I hear news that actually states that most if not all the fans truly understand and respect the fact that their favorite seiyuu is happily married and will be a good mom/dad. Congrats on her marriage and baby girl and I'm glad she'll stay in voice acting. |

She's not an idol seiyuu. Otaku don't care. |

So why did Aya Hirano get hated, and she's a voice actor. The same for Hikaru Midorikawa. Also let's not forget about Yu Serizawa. There's a reason why Mako had to cover that up for a while. |

No, please get your facts right. Not everyone who work in the voice acting industry have the same profile. Also lol Serizawa Yu.
Mako is nowhere as popular as those guys. Presumably she just took a long break and didn't get around to updating the rest of the public world. |

Are you just incapable of seeing the words "idol seiyuu"? Legitimately the most common response seems to be "who?" aside from Kamichu fans. She just about disappeared during her pregnancy and nobody really noticed so no cover up involved. |

Well I've heard of lesser known seiyu getting the same amount of hate when they revealed their relationship. So to be honest it doesn't matter if the person is "idol seiyuu", you can still get hated regardless if you have a big fanbase or not. |

Yeah, relationships sure affect your career. Remember when Chiba Saeko got many lead roles until her marriage. Now I barely see her and Aya in new anime, and they're still young to voice many leads. The closest I've seen them so far were Minami-ke, Fairy Tail, DBKai which are just reprising roles. |

You are mixing the things. It's not about popularity. It's about image. So called "idol seiyuus" is the ones who base their popularity a lot on appealing to fans outside their actual seiyuu career like forementioned Aya Hirano. While a lot of famous seiyuus don't do such a things. For example Rie Tanaka got a feedback for marrying(and she married famous male seiyuu not some random guy), but Chiwa Saito or Miyuki Sawashiro didn't get any(at least any significant). |

Yeah, I'll always associate Mako with Yurie. I know that I've heard her voicing other roles, but I probably couldn't name any. ^^; I'm happy for her. ^_^ |

I know her from Jewelpet as that Bee Jewelpet Charotte. Though congrats on the marriage and the baby girl.
