Genshiken OAV sequel

I finished Genshiken a while back. It's halarious show and I loved it alot. I found it to be funnier than Azumanga Daioh IMO. But getting to the point -

I absolutley HATE it when it says there will be a seqel to a series I really loved, but the sequel has nothing to do with the story. I just saw on the home page today that there is going to be an OAV/sequel (not the Kujibiki Unbalance one). I was hoping there was a second season, but an OAV is good enough. Is it an actual sequel, or just related?
