The clock is ticking on Creamy Mami, btw. Only slightly over a month left to reach its goal.

No way, Bagi, for serious??? That movie is such an insane proto furry drug trip. I mean, I understand the themes they were trying to go for, but whoooah did that movie just go off the deep end.

It's not like drug trip-induced films are anything new to Tezuka. Seems like Prime Rose is also available on Viki, so I did a quick skim of it. I gather these films operated on decent budgets, but nowhere near true theatrical features, and that one in particular reminds me of stuff like Leda and Birth.

Was it weirder than Muramasa? Which made little sense. Thankfully it was rather short. Prime Rose sounds interesting. I'll probably check it out given how short it is. I'm glad we're seeing older animation being brought over. I just wish Anime Sols would at least finish streaming the series they started. I understand that a home video release is impossible but other than the Tezuka titles there's no way to finish a few of the series.

I know I'll be posting a lot about Prime Rose on my new Anime Sols fanblog on Tumblr. People just need to watch it, and discover how good it is. Only then can it be expected of them to start pledging for a DVD release.
Bagi may be the most popular Tezuka TV special because of how furries stick to it, but for my money Prime Rose is definitely the best.
The set isn't doing so well so far on Anime Sols, but at least it also ends last (not counting Hurricane Polymar), so every time one show reaches its deadline and Sols gets brewing with activity and new visitors, it should help other shows like the specials, and hopefully it'll be at a high enough percentage to reach its goal during its last ten days when all other shows are over (again, with the exception of Hurricane Polymar).

Now it's five days left for Mami.

Someone did just drop a thousand on Mami, which increasingly seems like the only way it'll make its goal at this point.
