I wasn't sure if I should post to this alternative title thread given its age, but there's a questionable title for Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko. I'm not sure whether this was entered by an editor or user, but someone listed, "Boy Meets Psychic," with a source of, "My own translation/localisation." Give how liberal this is (or arguably flat-out wrong), should I log it as an error? Does an editor want to deal with it?

The submission guidelines specifically say "Alternate titles are simply other names or nicknames under which an anime has been commercialized (or is otherwise commonly known). This does not include names that you create by yourself through translation."
This falls foul on all points both by the submitters own admission, and also since the only relevant results in the first page of a google search for the term are from ANN itself or other sites that have copied it. I've removed it. |
