4Kids Releases Financial Results
4Kids Entertainment, Inc., parent of FoxBox and U.S. distributor of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, announced today that its 2002 revenues increased sharply while earnings fell. For Kids has much more under their belt than they had a few years ago and a live action show too(Ultraman Tiga. I'm actually not sure if it's still on). Their other anime like Fighting Foodons, Kirby, and Ultimate Muscle doesn't seem to be doing as well as Pokémon and Yugioh did and that could explain some of their losses. Then again, the Pokémon anime doesn't seem to be as popular as when it first started out either.

4Kids also has more expenses to pull down profits. Don't forget that if you have more shows on the air, you have more licensing fees. The Japanese distributors are getting more and more savvy to where the money lies...
