Wait, it's in 3D! Shouldn't it be X, Y, and Z then?

Maybe Z will be like an upcoming 3rd version like done with most of the previous generations so far. Maybe.
Anyway, I've fallen out of Pokemon for a a few years and even this intrigues me! It looks more like an RPG than it did before, though I guess at the same time, the new 3D takes away some of the unique 2D look Pokemon had if some people grew very fond of that. It's just too bad I still don't have a 3DS yet.

What generation hasn't had one? I guess the fact that Blue was the first generation's is a bit obscure(Red and Green were completely uninternationalizable, so it was definitely necessary at that point), but I don't think the remake 'generations' should be counted.

I've tried Emerald and LeafGreen(or maybe it was FireRed), but I can't say that any game after Crystal's really interested me that much. If they do something interesting with the plot I might be tempted to look into it, but if it's jsut the same old, same old with a thousand Pokemon this time instead of 250, I'm not going to bother.

And I only just bought the updated Pokedex guide book, now there are going to be new ones.
Well as an avid pokemon I am looking forward to this since I already have a 3DS, and a worldwide release makes me very happy.

Black and White had two sequel games (Black 2 and White 2) instead of a single game that combined the two.

Oh, yes! New Pokemon, new areas, new legends...I think Generation VI of Pokemon is truly a sight to behold, from my viewpoint! I can't wait for this worldwide debut!
Edit: Fixed a minor error.

I think I shed a tear...actual 3D in a Pokemon handheld game...man this has been a long time coming. Also really glad to see it's getting a worldwide release at the same time and that the closeness of White and Black 2 in terms of localization time wasn't just a fluke. At least now I don't have to worry as much about spoling myself with Serebii articles.
While Gen V was kind of lacking in special features, I'm really hoping they keep the trend of having an actual storyline beyond just "I will be the best trainer evah". It made the B/W games stand out to me and it would be cool if they continue to shake up the formula a bit in that way.
Can't wait till October!

New Pokemon designs aside It looks interesting and its nice to fially get a 3D perspective on the main game series.
As for the new pokemon however, I take back my first reactions with the gen 5 pokemon, I had a WROSE first impression of them this time. However I can see myself getting over it and getting some favorites anyway...

Ooo, I'm quite excited but I lack a 3DS so I need to buy one now just for the new games; I still think it's a little bit too soon to release a new generation but I can't help but be an excited boy when I heard this news. I wonder what the motives of this generation is?

I think you're looking for generation VI not XI, we're about 3 generations too early for that.
But this is kind of bad ass, the 3d looks great (though I normally have the 3d turned off on my 3ds because it gives me headaches). Even though I'm not super impressed by the new designs for the starters (I guess they really have run out of ideas for pokemon designs), at least imo they're not as bad as gen V, and the fire starter looks particularly cool. I never choose the fire starter but I just might this go around. The only downside is we have to wait until October before it comes out, bummer
Oh well, I still haven't finished Black or Black 2 (barely started it actually), so I guess I can keep myself busy with those.

...Well. Crap.
I have no 3DS, so I'm excited for this but it also makes me slam my face into a wall, because I won't get to play this for a while. It looks great though.
I'm probably the only one who was like 'YES' when they actually showed Psyduck in this, aren't I.

Well, I knew it would happen eventually. Thank goodness Generation V was so good, because the franchise is now dead to me. Save your cell-shaded crap for console games. Main series games use sprites and have color titles. No sprites, no color titles? Not a main game.
RIP, Pokemon.
