Is this animated then? Can you please start putting "anime film" when it is again instead of just "film", otherwise I think it's live action.

Wow, sounds dark. Well, I'm glad to see Katayama getting more work, he was awesome on The Big O. His directing should be able to bring lots of atmosphere to this project.

Cool. The manga reads very much like a action/horror movie so it should be an easy adaptation. I hope it turns out good.

That's good news.
I really enjoyed the manga except for the last two volumes which were a bit confusing and rather over the top. |

Looks interesting, though I never heard of it. But if it's a film then I'm game.

Read and liked the series, especially the twist ending. Would think it will adapt pretty well into anime or even live-action form.

YYYYYEEEEEEEE-AAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
ThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyou!! KoT is such an amazing manga and it's one that I've hoped to see as an animated movie, TV series or a Hollywood live action done right! Since it's so cinematic and dynamic. This news made my day. |

My best friend Paul really likes this manga, so if I ever see him again, I'll tell him this.

That's really sweet. ^^ Especially since I do plan on getting this manga sometime in the future (sadly have been putting it back for other plans). So hopefully the film turns out really awesome.

I haven't read this yet but from the description given it sounded a lot like blue gender.

Ooh, great!! I love the manga, though I didn't even know the last volume was out. O_o Curse tokyopop for having such a confusing website.... Not to mention stores for not stocking things correctly. >.<
Oh well, I'll definitely keep an eye on this and an eye out for that last volume!! |

I thought the manga for this was great as well, until the last two volumes just completely destroyed everything I liked about the plot.
It's like they turned a moody post-apocoliptic cliche mashup into a real world game of yu-gioh. Oh, and the ending was a giant slap in the face to anyone who finished reading it. To those of you who've only read through volume 4, do yourself a favor and relish those happy memories, and just forget the fact that more existed. |

I dunno, I liked the twists for the ending. I'd recommend getting them all- it manages to be a fun, imaginative series. This was one of my favorite series recently, so I'm glad to see it get an anime adaption- and a film-length version really suits the fastpaced material.

Well that twist was okay but the ending was yuck.
Blame! is better deserving of getting its feature done imo. |

sounds cool, never read the manga tho. Big O is awesome and i guess Katayama can't be blamed for the ending since he's a director and not a writer? i think, but the real news here is that new Darker Than Black has been green-lit yesss! hope new DTB is not an epic fail.
