... That's it. I'm done with Nintendo for a good while. I just got my Gameboy DS Lite last year, only to have the DSi come out right after, and now there's a 3DS? Is my DS obsolete already?
Oh hell no. I'll stick to just playing a PSP now while you guys attempt to mimic the cel phone format, outdoing previous releases within a year. I don't want this with my gaming systems. I refuse to buy a new gameboy until five years have passed.

It's nearly 7 years old. That's like waiting until 1998 to buy a VCR and then getting upset because DVD is coming out.

Nothing's really exciting me about the 3DS. I've got plenty DS games I still haven't beaten yet.
And I can't wait for Sengoku Basara. I don't care how cheesy the story is or how repetetive the gameplay is, I WILL put my guns on and get the party started!

You're like...half a year behind (including the very blatantly obvious hardware leaks) on the 3DS...

I had a VCR in the 80s. Don't care. I only have so much of a budget for video games, and I still have yet to get a PS3. I quit Nintendo. I accept now I am no longer young and hip. I'll be one of those weirdos who only plays old games on an old system, telling the young kids that the classics will always p0wn the new flashy stuff. I refuse to get into the latest overpriced smart phones crap, and I'll be taking this stance on my hand held gaming consoles.
That thing is pretty much the same price of a full major system for you tv. I refuse. They can slap as many Final Fantasy logos on the games they release for it they want, I'm not buying it for a long time to come, or at least not until I can buy a used one for half the price at least.

You disappoint your Crazy Fangirl credentials something massive.
You're supposed to go crazy over everything, then destroy anyone else who thinks otherwise.
You bring shame to your custom user title.

Wasn't interested in the 3DS until Ocarina and Abyss. I better start saving!
Does anyone know if it's going to be region free?

I had the original Game Boy, never its mini brother, and I never bought its advanced son or advancier daughter. Found its old colored cousin a couple years ago for free, gave it away to my nephews because I enjoy seeing them fight over things. I only just got the DS maybe two years ago.
I might pass up a 3DS, is all I'm saying. Seriously, though, 300 bucks? I'd actually buy a PS3 for that if I wasn't so cheap and had the extra outlet and wasn't sure if I even want to play any video games in 2011.
Though, I gotta admit, I miss Mega Man Legends.

Umm... my defense is that I am crazy, therefore I don't have to follow the logic of people who think with weird, bizzaro logic that doesn't conform to the opinion of my current thought tangent?
This fangirl is for the manga anyway! I think I'll give up my girl gamer status now for this defection from Nintendo and just put "Part Time Gamer" in my resume from here on out. I am retiring until I have kids, and then I'll come out of retirement just to put them in their place.

I'm mad at myself for buying a DSi. The thing is brand new and yet never gave me any reason to want or need that stupid little camera on it. Cameras seem useless for games. Now the 3DS is coming along doing everything better than the DSi can do. I guess the key with nintendo handhelds must be to only buy every other release.

at this rate Nintendo is going to win 2011; they already anticipate for the 3DS to sell 4 mil in a month

I think Nintendo will lower the price for US customers or have a multi-game bundle. They wouldn't dare lose any of the casual gamers who've made them the latest video game power with PS3 prices.
Megaman Legends 3 is more than enough reason for me to get a 3DS!

I bet that they'll do a direct price quote, changing the 25000 yen to 250 dollars, rather than a yen>dollar conversion. I believe the Wii was the same price.
And if you're going to bring up PS3 prices, you have to go with launch prices, $500-$600. The 3DS comes in way under that.
But I'm with littlegreenwolf. After I got rid of my Wii due to lack of games I actually wanted to play, and the DS/DSi was traded in because I kept buying games for it that I ended up not caring about, the only Nintendo system I have left is my GBMicro. And that thing is just too cool to get rid of, even if I hardly play it anymore. I have Summon Night 1 and 2, Sword of Mana and Tales of Phantasia, among others. My GBM won't be going anywhere for a long time. But the 3DS... I won't put it passed Nintendo to end up with a casual gamer gimmick again, that just happens to sell really well. I'll wait until I can afford to put a 3DTV on credit, and stick with my PS3, and wait to see if Microsoft recovers from the impending fail of Project Natal/Kinect (obviously, someone forgot to use spellcheck).
PS> I long for the days of the SNES, when there were more JRPGs than I could ever hope to finish. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

No, it's not. Though, it could be worse. I'm holding out for the new GameBoy that'll play GBA games.
You DS folks get all the damn luck.

Well, have I got good news for you! The 3DS does just that!
You just have to buy them all over again
I'm kinda disappointed they went ahead with the Ocarina of Time remake. Oh, I'm sure it'll be a great game and all that, but in the end it's just a remake of game I've already played through many times before and that's just not enough to get me interested in a $300 system. I'm content to wait until they get around to releasing a brand new Zelda (though that series has been growing increasingly stale), Metroid or Mario RPG.
