Yeah! More Railgun is always a good thing. And as the article notes, this OVA is in addition to an extra eppie that was already announced to be released on July 25.

I'm going to be rather disappointed if there's no licensing announcement for any pieces of the Index/Railgun franchise soon, presumably at Anime Expo.

Judging from that pic, this is where ITEM gets formally introduced, and this is where the MISAKA project all begins.

Its the same To Aru Kagaku no Railgun. Its just that the cover of the 5th manga includes 4 'new characters'. Though those 4 did manage to get a 5 second appearence on the Railgun anime.
About the news... its very misleading having the cover there... even if the flyer came with the manga. It made me think the OAV would feature them. But it probably won't as the flyer has Kuroko, Saten and Uiharu on it.

I was kinda hoping for a view of the four main characters in the future.
At least thats what I assumed before I read more into it.

Hmmm, article could probably include something about how Index is getting another tv series in Winter/Spring 2011ish.

They're going full-blast with the series as a whole, huh? A new season of Index and a Railgun OVA?
Makes me want them to license at least ONE show stateside soon.

Excellent news! Railgun was a fun and entertaining show. Glad it's getting a second run with OVA's. A license for the first season and the manga would be great. I guess licenses always seem like a no-brainer to fans of a series. But, I would guess Railgun along with Index would have good R1 sales.

That edit doesn't refer to the news story but rather the first comment.
