The hub reminds of the website that is named Stubhub, that sells ticketse in the US.

Yeah, that has nothing to do with anime, but neither does pocky or ramen, so I'd call this even.

Anyway on topic, this sounds slightly interesting.

Wow. I'm going to have to keep an eye out for this. (I didn't even know that Discovery had a kid's channel...)

I knew Discovery had a kids channel... I just don't get it. Rolling Eyes It seems like Cartoon Network USA is really dropping the ball with the anime thing.

You might want to know what's on mind? Discovery Health is renamed to OWN (The Oprah Winfrey Network) start on Jan 1, 2011.

Discovery Kids (The Hub is coming soon) had 56 million households in U.S.

Man, HUB already had be hooked with a new Transformers and G.I.Joe series, but Deltora Quest, too? The channel launches 10/10/2010, I'm looking forward to it.

Most of the shows are based on Hasbro properties... Deltora Quest figures, please!

I wouldn't have picked Discovery Kids for running anime. There is a Discovery Kids in Canada but it's hard to say if they'll also air the show.

The dub is suppose to be 52 episodes but the anime is listed as 65 on ANN. I have to wonder what's missing.

They are shutting down Discovery Kids and replacing it with The Hub joint venture with Hasbro. A couple of current Discovery Kids shows have been mentioned as getting a merchandising arm from the venture, but no Discovery Kids shows have been mentioned in the lineup announced so far, so it seems like just a few of the more successful ones will survive the transition.

Looking at the episode 52 description at Cartoon Network / Australia, it looks like it ends with a cliffhanger, so I'd guess its the first four seasons, ep1-ep52.

Some more anime coming to TV with a dub from (in a Lance Storm-like tone) Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This should be fun! Cool

(for those who don't get the Calgary reference, this anime was dubbed at Blue Water which is always a good thing)

Will they do the whole series? I hate it when I like something and it ends up being canceled close to the ending.

You forgot to put in the dramatic pause.

They'll certainly do the 52 episodes ... if they bought the rights, they've already spent the money.

Looks like they bought the broadcast rights to the same package of 52 dubs that Cartoon Network Australia is currently airing ... whether they get the last season, which does not seem to be in that package, dubbed and brought to air is an open question.
