I'm just surprised that this series keeps hanging on, despite being absolutely awful. I'm talking characterization, plot, animation, basically everything, is worse than Queen's Blade, and yet it remains ever popular. There's probably more Ikki Tousen figures than Eva by now.

The sad fact is the manga actually has a decent plot and Dragon Destiny was not that bad of a series. The first season of IT wasn't THAT bad either. Now GG was a fanservice fest and little else and it's stayed that way it seems. Plus the series IMO can't seem to decide if it wants to be more serious or just a fanservice fest. Queens Blade is just sexual fanservice and boobs but it makes no attempt to be anything more then that. it doesn't try to be what it's not and in the role it serves it serves it well. The Ikki Tousen anime franchise needs to figure out what it wants to be and just run with it.

Pretty much. It's called a Divas nightgown match, or a bra and panties match, or just the weekly posturing the ladies do. And yes as I say this I am watching WWE Monday Night Raw.

Except that women in wrestling all look like men. Ikki Tousen keeps making up dumb plots and tries to be super cereal about it, while at the same time presenting a stupid cast of bovine characters. |
