Ikkitousen: Xtreme Xecutor Promo Video Streamed

The Japanese website for the Ikki Tousen anime franchise has begun streaming a new 108-second promotional video for the Ikki Tousen: Xtreme Xecutor television anime series on Monday. The video features Yuka Masuda's opening theme song "Stargazer." Ikki Tousen: XX will premiere on April 11 as the fourth television series based on Yuji Shiozaki's Ikki Tousen manga about girls in fighting tournaments. (The new anime has a preview airing on March 26.)
Geneon Entertainment once released the first Ikki Tousen anime series in North America, and Funimation now has the license. Media Blasters announced at Anime Expo 2007 that it had licensed the second Ikki Tousen anime series, Ikki Tousen: Dragon Destiny. Media Blasters CEO John Sirabella has since revealed in November that his company acquired the third series, Ikki Tousen Great Guardians, as well. Tokyopop released the original manga in North America under the name Battle Vixens.
