Although the series still had Tomo experiment being "girly" for laughs--in the end, it was still nice that the story lead to the sincere message that there was nothing wrong with Tomo the way she is and that she doesn't need to change herself for anyone. And that Jun never expected or even wanted Tomo to become a traditional girl. And this theme of acceptance extended to the friends around them, Misuzu and Carol especially. This turned out to be a naturally positive, feel-good series that turned out way better than I would have ever expected it to.

Not much on Carol who I thought stole the show many times and had me laughing hysterically throughout (Episode 5) and moments of seriousness (Episode 9). This was a great adaptation of a equally great 4-koma manga and was easily one of the best anime from last year.

This is one of those that the anime never quite got the feel of the manga right. I read the manga quite awhile back, and to see it get an anime adaptation after all that time had me scratching my head. I think overall the anime was OK, not good, not bad.. just OK. With that said, this is more of a stream title then a buy IMO.

TLDR.. manga seemed to be a better fit for this series, with anime not transitioning all that well. This might be a 4-koma thing now that I think about it.
