I have to say Bakemonogatari is pulling consistently impressive sales. I never considered it to be a series with a big mainstream appeal as I've seen many people get turned off by the slow pacing in the story and even animation.

After watching Bakemonogatari myself, I personally enjoyed it a lot .. the animation was really nice even if a lot of it was constantly being re-used and I did enjoy every arc minus the second one with the little girl. It reminded me too much of Clannad Confused .. which isn't a bad thing, but I felt like I've seen that particular story already! Laughing

As a HUGE Eureka Seven fan I was woefully dissapointed at the movie version... it adds nothing to the franchise and it took a slightly convoluted story line, tossed it in the blender, and made it come out as something that made even less sense (talking about Kojima levels of 'WTF' here)... and the production values are astonishingly low for a theatrical release.

Also, the ending was WTF? too.

Seeing Lupin so high on the list makes me very happy. Pretty much all I look forward to BD wise is the classics.
