Bakemonogatari sold a staggering 44,513 in the first week including both dvd and blu-ray sales.

Kuroshitsuji, Hetalia, Sayonara, Pandora... All prime contestants for licensing, I would hope.

The title for the first volume of Bakemonogatari is Hitagi Crab, not Hitagi Club.
Bakemonogatari would have had even higher sales for the first week, but both DVD and Blu-ray editions completely sold out. I think they might have underestimated demand.

So does that mean they only just now released those Gintama Jump specials on DVD?
And I agree, pretty much everything on this list needs a license in America. But unfortunately we might be waiting until the next world economic recovery for some of them.

I want to buy Gintama DVDs, too!
Bleach is all over the US, but where's all the Gintama stuff?
I liked Bleach until I watched Gintama and realized that the latter was better in basically every aspect. Good Shonen Jump style and battles without all of the cheese.

I wonder how close it would've got to Gundam SEED Destiny's opening week of 57,000... I'm sure it would've been over 50,000 if there was no stock problems. Heck I think word of mouth on the Bluray character commentary track alone would sell a lot.
