I also thought they were going to be streamed. Although I don't find the truth to be too much of a loss. I've watched NANA already and Monster is something that I'm not sure I'm willing to invest time in, so nothing in that short list interests me too much.

I think this is kinda cool. For an anime only channel, you need to constantly add a gangload of new content. Most anime isn't done like american stuff where a series will run forever until people don't like it anymore. You can run The Simpsons every day of the week for like 2 years and still not have shown the same episode twice. You've got some anime where you can run it once a week and after 3 months you're already on reruns.

I'm a little confused. In my understanding, some if not all of those titles are still waiting for a DVD release. Does this mean they're going to be available on the Funimation Channel before they're available to buy? I've been waiting for NANA and Monster, but I'm strictly a DVD person.

Ah! Ah! This means the Monster dub is finished and they will release it soon! (In BIG box sets please since it's 74 episodes). I have been waiting forever.

NANA is a July title. Honey and Clover and Monster haven't been solicited yet IIRC. So yeah, a little pre-release promotion by VIZ to stimulate more sales.

Now bring on the other 2 VIZ. Very Happy

Also, for those interested, NANA also has cover art for the Pt 1 Collection that can be seen over at AOD's Cover Art Forum http://www.mania.com/aodvb/showthread.php?t=92028

Good to finally see some more progress with Nana and H&C, Viz really has been taking their time with both of those titles.

Yeah, if only. Sad

It's great news for those with the channel and hopefully all of these partnership announcements that have been happening lately with Funimation mean that they are really doing well. (I hope that's what they mean.)

With a little luck, maybe the R1 anime industry can actually stage a comeback.

Consider giving it your time: it's a great anime adapted from a great manga.

And yes, rainbowcourage, hopefully in BIG box sets, or else I won't be able to afford it. Anime hyper
