The first was a terrible show but the possibility for lesbian sex kind of keeps you half-watching. I don't expect any better for this one of course, but it's interesting to see the first one sold enough DVDs for this to happen.

I'm more surprised by the fact that the DVDs are even in the top 10 charts on the week of release.

Wow, just wow. I can't belive people actually watch this kind of stuff. This is looks absolutely bland and horriable.
Are the female cast members even older than 18? I doubt it.

Bland and horrible would be if the production staff kept the male lead from the original visual novel.

Well, there is a big-breasted mother who has a daughter. And I know there are others, but throughout the entire series there only two lolis.

It's the state of the market, especially with the recent strategy of broadcasting censored lolicon shows and then selling uncut DVDs (more full frontal nudity, nipples, etc.).
Koihime Musou, Kanokon, Sekirei and To Love-Ru all topped the charts, despite being reviled (from a story standpoint anyway) by many viewers.

Stop using epic, you're mangling the word and confusing its meaning. Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure is more epic than both of those series combined, and it does it blindfolded and with its hands tied behind it's back. And I'm even talking about the cartoon version here.

I have to agree with this assessment. Bill & Ted are indeed epic in any incarnation (live action, cartoons, action figures, comics, the ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny, so on)
And again a harem show.........
Not something to look forward to, for me personally, but that is scarily what selling right now (in Japan at least)

It's a fun, kinky show so I'd be surprised if it did not do well (everywhere, not just Japan).

You mean a show based on an eroge game loosely spun off from the Three Kingdoms looks awful? You jest, surely you do.
The Three Kingdoms has officially become the latest overmilked cow of the anime industry. And it has traces of the other Bessie that doesn't get a break, moe. Thanks, Japan!
EDIT:

You know not what the word "epic" means, do you? Oh well, at least you're in the same boat as Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg...wait...
Anyway, I personally don't care for yuri, so please stop assuming every guy gets turned on by two girls groping one another

I'm rather looking forward to this. While Koihime Musou is hardly a masterpiece, it's neither the worst way to kill some time. If I was to describe it in a word, I'd say 'adequate'. Anyone who's seen Nostalgia Critic's review of Cloverfield will know what I mean. Story's okay, cast is okay, humour's okay, even the yuri's okay (if only that Kan'u-Sousou scene in episode four went on just a little bit longer - wink!). I'm hoping this new season will do what Dragon Destiny did to Ikkitousen: take what's already there and make it much better.

I agree with 2D, except that I expected it to be as horrible as most people claim it is, so I ended up really enjoying it. The best thing that can be said is that it looks very nice. The worst that can be said is that it's shallow. Neither of those statements should be unexpected. (Well, maybe that the animation looks good rather than cheap might be surprising to some).

I'd say there are a minimum of three (Chouhi, Sou Sou's strategist, and the youngest Son girl), possibly eight or so, depending on your cut-off of what's loli.

Well yeah, the animation is definitely well above adequate, and I'd say the same for the music too. I love those opening and ending themes. I didn't read into this anime at all before watching it so I had no preconceptions.
