That's cool, I might try those out, so long as Japanese language is available.

Those two series were released sub-only on DVDs anyways so you should have no problem.

'Ramen Fighter Miki' is a terrific little comedy, one of my favorite DVD releases of the recent past. May not quite be as wild in concept as recent over-the-top style comedy DVD releases Bludgeoning Angel.../Magical Witch.., but it's writing stays much tighter. Cruel physical comedy mixed with a generally good heart.

'Girls High' is another low-budget comedy, but this one was a bit of a puzzle. It mixed seemingly guy-oriented fan-service (not especially memorable/inspired) with female-oriented soapy plotlines. I didn't feel it was a particularly successful combo from the episodes I watched.

Quick snip comedies like above, and similar titles like 'Ninja Nonsense' (another strong comedy effort), make great material for streaming. It's very much a quick-pickup, and the irreverent comedy genre is accessible to an older audience that perhaps isn't overly-partial to the teen/tween-aimed adventure/drama vehicles.

I've been wanting to give Ramen Fighter Miki a try, but the fact that it's sub-only has kept me from buying it thus far. There is still a chance that the lack of English will prevent a purchase in the future, but at least now I can try before making a decision.

This again? Sorry, but not everyone is desperate to watch everything right now. And as for myself, I'll never use Crunchyroll because of the origins of that site and how it generated its initial funds. Sure it's great that they're going totally legit, but if I have an alternative to them, I'll take it.

I thought only I and a small amount of people had thought that way. I'll NEVER visit that site again because of those reasons. I once was a member, but as soon as I heard what they were doing, I instantly closed my account.

Though I do realize the site is trying to become legit like Kokuryu said, I am stilll going to use a alternative route.

Nope. Crunchyroll's Girls High is $2/ep download-to-own only.

Aha, one more reason for me to stay away from Crunchyroll and watch shows here on ANN. Download-to-own is about my least favorite method for viewing. If I'm paying, I'd much rather have the DVD. If not, then ANN's methods suit me just fine.
