Fixed.
(There are plenty of series I could have chosen, but since Bandai likes science fiction, I settled on Coil).

If it is the former then they really should announce it at the city of its namesake.

Maybe they licensed Macross Frontier. A man can dream, right?
Although all the other mentions would be nice, too, from what I've heard.

Well, SZS is definitely unique. And it's relatively popular in Japan like Lucky Star was. If Lucky Star can sell here in America like it does, then SZS should have no problem. And Bandai seems to be getting more comedy/slice of life series now that ADV is going under, who I originally would have thought best for the task of dubbing SZS (due to their ADV Vid-Notes and experience with dubbing highly referential anime like Excel Saga). But if it happens at any point, by any publisher, rest assured I will be buying any and all limited editions of the series.
Also, what's wrong with it? I thought it was quite hilarious, well-done, and beautifully animated.

Yes, they can dream, but it won't be Macross Frontier. So if you really want to see and have high morals, go import some DVDs.
I do wonder what it will be though, there's a whole slew of good shows out there to pick from. My gut feeling is that they'll pick the wrong show though. Someone had hinted at Manabi Straight, which would be weird for Bandai, since they usually aim for action shows.

...I hope it's Hetalia. Though I doubt it, since APH hasn't even aired. But there is a chapter about Russia entitled "Bloody Sunday", so I can dream~

I was hoping that FUNi had SZS since that would mean they grabbed all the recently released Shinbo titles. SZS is a companion piece to Negima!? after all.
I was also hoping that VIZ had DMC and Cube of Goblins so that would mean that the movies and anime could come over in 1 swoop.
I'm only hoping for GitS movie triology in Blu-ray, Soul Eater and VOTOMS Pailsen Files as glitch-free releases from Bandai.

Yes, but by that logic, SZS is also a companion piece to Pani Poni Dash!, which is licensed by ADV. Bandai has gotten a hold of some potential ADV releases as of late, like Gurren Lagann, soooo...
(hopes)
But seriously, it might be Funi. The only two possibilities for SZS that I see right now are Funi and Bandai, so it will be one of the two.

It's probably going to be Ah! My Goddess Fighting Wings in conbination with the You're Under Arrest Season 2 and You're Under Arrest Full Throttle (Season 3).

Mobile Suit Gundam Double Zeta, of course.
Oh wait, they did say it would be an anime, and ZZ is clearly labeled "Anime ja nai!"
So, Turn A Gundam.
