Wasn't this also the cause of death for Akira Toriyama?

That makes it more sadder, who's going to succeed Shimojo to dub over Eddie Murphy for the Japanese voice?

Normally, Koichi Yamadera is the one who normally dubs Murphy in his films there. Shimojou only dubbed him in alternative or older dubs.

Oh yeah, I forgot Koichi Yamadera is the main official dub-over voice actor for Eddie Murphy along with Will Smith and other well-known top Hollywood actor. But it still sad to see Shimojo passed away.

Are men in that kind of age range vulnerable to this sort of thing? I'm starting to get the idea that's the case.

Elderly and babies are specially vulnerable - acute subdural hematoma is pooling of blood in that space between your skull and brain. But everyone is at risk, it's a main reason why you go to the doctor after you hit your head too hard.
Hard falls hitting the head (contusion), alcoholism, dementia, long term usage of blood thinning drugs, plus a few others can either trigger or make you more pre-disposed to it.
Take care guys!
RIP Atomu-san.
