I watched Discotek's release late last year (or very early this year) and liked it a lot! I'm wondering what a modern take would be like with the huge leap in technology since the film's release, which surprised me with how advanced Japan's trains were at the time. So many pay phones.....

Also I like to remind people that the 1975 film was the inspiration for the 1994 blockbuster hit film, Speed. A lot of people didn't even know Speed was a "remake" of that Japanese film along with the 1985 film, Runaway Train (interesting fact, the original movie storyline was based on Akira Kurosawa's 1960's screenwriting). |
