Kohana Lam has a YouTube channel with over 650,000 subscribers, held a solo birthday concert at Tokyo venue Zepp Shinjuku in October, and gave her first overseas live performance in November. Now, this internet sensation has released a new song, 'Have a Good Game!!'.
On November 8, the third anniversary of her major-label debut, Kohana Lam revamped her illustrated profile icon, which she had been using for around four years. In a special YouTube livestream to mark her anniversary, she explained that the poppy, cute new avatar was a declaration of her determination to take on a wider range of music genres.
New song 'Have a Good Game!!' is Kohana Lam's first bold step into a wider musical world, as it includes a rap section for the very first time. The song is about leveling up in life, drawing on motifs based on her hobby of videogames.
The lyrics and music were written by SAKURAmoti. This rising musician previously collaborated with Minami from MAISONdes on the song ‘aiue’, which was used as the opening theme song for the anime series ‘Urusei Yatsura’, and which has surpassed 18 million views on YouTube.
