But like always, without the first part.
Sigh.

Ah yes, the two most storied shounen franchises of all time...and then there's Toriko hanging around like an unwanted dingleberry.

It's crazy how they pushed so hard to make Toriko the next big thing but then gave it a subpar anime adaptation.

It's like they think no one cares about the 1st part.

Anime ruined the momentum a lot. Manga was far from a dingleberry and had a lot of fan support as most ingredients were fan submitted.

I keep telling y’all, the way Toriko’s anime and manga was handled, made it kind of forgettable to most by the end. It didn’t air on Toonami so not many people even know it exists, the manga started to drag during the Pair Arc, and the fanfiction is very low, considering it’s a Shounen title. Funimation didn’t even continue dubbing the rest of the episodes after episode 52, I think. Not to mention, the anime itself was completely watered down from the manga. And those damn food puns the dub came up with so they could avoid having to curse, as though Toriko is a damn kid show.

I mean had it aired on Toonami that in no way would’ve helped it get over.
Not everything that aired on there was DragonBall Z, Sailor Moon, or Big O

While Toriko is no masterpiece, it can still be entertaining in certain ways, whether fans love it or hate it. It would be nice to see the remaining Toriko episodes, including the movie and the crossover episodes, finally get an English dub for the first time.
