I had such a great time with this show! They really prioritized the relationships between the main characters and just how important the strong bond between Sora and Mashiro was in the finale. There's a really brief line that Cure Majesty throws out before Sky and Prisim go to save the empress, that she thinks the reason she was given her power to grant Precure powers was because Cure Noble was so lonely and that she wanted Majesty to have the friends that she didn't get to keep. I really liked the parallels you pointed out between Noble and the Empress, and Sora and Mashiro! Really just drives in that this show is about those bonds.
While I do have some nitpicks (Ellee felt underused after she gained the power to transform imo, the Empress probably should have been introduced earlier, Skearhead is a pretty boring antagonist in the more slice of life episodes, etc) they really don't end up bothering me all that much compared to how much good the show did.

I do really wish the final set of conflicts got more episodes dedicated to them (and the final fight felt unnecessary, even if it had some real cool action cuts), but the series as a whole was pretty darn fun and the cast was really likeable which is what counts.

This was indeed a good season thanks in part how all the characters were able to give it their all which I feel is a step up from last year's Delicious Party Precure. Heck, even the baby character was charming which is a first for me (though it is kind of a cheat that she becomes a Precure). And it's a really good thing all the firsts with first lead blue, first male, and first adult Precure all ended up being fine characters on their own right.
I, too, wished the main conflict got more time or built up for the long term because it felt that the show really held their cards too closely of what the purpose of these villains' actions were. And on a side note, man I hope Precure does more evil Precure (or at the very least evil counterparts ala Psycho Rangers) because it's been awhile, and Dark Cure Sky was so cool looking that fanartists went wild over it!

As someone who has never watched a PreCure series before, I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed this. And I've been watching other anime I thought I wouldn't enjoy because of Soaring Sky PreCure. I'll definitely be watching Wonderful PreCure and future ones, as well as past PreCure series.

I had not actually considered Mashrio having abandonment issues until this article, so I very much like you giving me a whole different way to consider her character. The comment about how Tsubasa was possibly admitting to a crush, I feel, wasn't actually said by too many people, so I like that you did. I get that it's a touchy subject, but it's realistic.
It's a lovely review. I don't have much to say this time, it's easier for me when it's episode by episode comments, but still I appreciate what you wrote. Thank you for giving so much respect to a season I enjoyed.
